THE LEGENDS TROPHY STAYS IN SOUTHBEND ND GO 6-0

Notre Dame Dominates Stanford 58–7: The Irish Make Another Statement in South Bend By SYGBlogsSports | October 10, 2026 A Statement Win for the Irish Notre Dame continued its dominant run on Saturday, dismantling Stanford 58–7 at Notre Dame Stadium. The third-ranked Fighting Irish improved to 6–0, delivering another convincing performance on both sides of the football and strengthening their case as one of the top teams in the country. Coming off a 37–26 victory over North Carolina, Notre Dame needed to take care of business against a struggling Stanford team. The Irish did exactly that, controlling the game from the opening kickoff and turning the afternoon into a one-sided affair. Notre Dame has now won six straight games to open the season, and the team's combination of explosive offense, physical running and defensive pressure continues to make this group a serious College Football Playoff contender. CJ Carr and the Offense Put on a Show Quarterback CJ Carr continued to lead ...

From Rock Bottom to a Statement Win Patriots Week 3&4 Recap

Image
Patriots Week 3 & Week 4 Recap: From Rock Bottom to a Statement Win First off, a quick apology: I missed getting the Week 3 Patriots recap out, so we're going to make up for it by covering both Week 3 and Week 4 together. And honestly, what happened over these two weeks deserves to be talked about — because New England went from getting completely embarrassed to pulling off one of its biggest wins of the season. Week 3: Patriots Get Blown Out by Jacksonville The Patriots entered Week 3 coming off a strong 20-3 win over Pittsburgh, looking to move above .500. Instead, New England got absolutely dominated. The Patriots traveled to Jacksonville and were crushed 35-6 by the Jaguars , falling to 1-2 on the season. It was one of those games where almost nothing went right. Drake Maye struggled throughout the afternoon, finishing 14-of-25 for 199 yards with two interceptions and no touchdowns . The Patriots also struggled to establish the run, managing only 83 rushing yards as a...

Top 25 After Week 5 !!

Image
SYGBLOGSSPORTS CFB TOP 25 Week 6 Rankings — Oregon Has Everything to Prove College football is officially entering the part of the season where every Saturday starts to mean a little more. Week 5 gave us statement wins, major upsets and plenty of movement around the Top 25. Missouri destroyed Florida 45–17, Alabama dominated Mississippi State, and the top of the country remained crowded with undefeated teams. But this week is where the rankings can really start to separate. My biggest change is Missouri moving to #12 , while Mississippi State moves up to #13, Florida drops to #15, Tennessee sits at #16 and Oregon falls to #18 . And at #18, Oregon has one of the biggest games of the week.  THE BIGGEST RANKING GAME: #18 OREGON vs. #21 UCLA This is the game I will be watching closest when it comes to next week's rankings. Oregon is 3-1 . UCLA is 4-0 . And both teams are ranked. The Ducks are #18 in the SYGBLOGSSPORTS poll, while UCLA sits at #21. That makes Saturday's matchup i...

NFL Weeks 3&4 Recap

Image
Two Weeks of Chaos, Statement Wins & One Big Apology First off, I owe you guys an apology. I completely missed the Week 3 NFL recap, and that's on me. There was way too much going on around the NFL to skip a week, especially with some absolutely wild games taking place. So instead of pretending Week 3 didn't happen, we're doing this the right way: Week 3 AND Week 4 in one massive recap. And after these last two weeks, one thing is clear: The NFL is starting to separate the contenders from the pretenders.  WEEK 3: THE NFL STARTED GETTING CRAZY Week 3 gave us everything you want from the NFL — close games, surprise teams, undefeated teams staying perfect, and some teams already looking like they're in serious trouble.  Chiefs Keep Rolling Kansas City took care of Miami 24-10 , moving to 3-0 . The Chiefs haven't necessarily looked unbeatable, but that's what makes them dangerous. They're finding ways to win games without needing everything to go perfectly...
